The blade finished to this point runs $50.00 if it is to be sharpened and base ground 75, mounted in the some fashion to those in the group photo would start at $200.00. In answer to me having a web site, no I’m a country boy just trying to get on line. However if there was a web site builder in the group I do have some trading stock and would like talk to some one about it.
Stephen, I agree with you about the Boker Camp knife. To answer your question the Geppetto Whittler feels pretty good in hand. I still prefer the #56 Dogleg Jack's feel though. The little blades cut into the fingers a bit on the #57 and to me it feels a little odd with the big part of the handle up front and the small part in back. If I was using it I guess that I would get used to it but I'm still sold on the #56 instead.
Hey thanks for all of your nice comments on my knives sir! Tom
Thanks Steve this is more than just a club, it's a felllowship of genuinely caring and extraordinary folks and thank you all for reminding me that the world does still have that rare commodity of exceptional people. Have a great day and THANKS!
Thanks for your comment. That is the knife that got me started in R.H. Ruana knives. My dad got it in 1945 and gave it to me years later in the 1990's.
Hello Stephen, Thank you for your comment. I do have alot of knives. Most of them are put away in secure storage for pass down to my childern and grandchildren. I had a computer chash last year and it wiped out my pictures that were not backed up. I need to take some new pictires of the knives I keep for display and I will post some of those photos. The ones I keep for display are my best ones anyway.
For the past couple of years I have been collecting antique Japanese swords but I still pick up a Knife now and then. Take care, Mark.
Managed to add a big chinese bowie of quality. Those guys are definitely qjnning up the learning curve, while keeping a bit of local flavor like exoric wood handles. Your greets made my day, amigo!
I remember my granddad hitting 65 and my amazement. I must go camping more, and think of some new gadget to buy. My wife does not understand why I put a sack of axes, a sack of knives and hatchets, compasses, GPSs, whistle and survival manual when all I can do is camp a few yards from the back of my F-150 Ford, and there is a passable cafe or two within 5 miles.
Thanks to all collectors . Am very busy this season. got an order for 500 neck knives from Springfield Leather Co. I have several series knives not on line as I am waiting to update . Also I have 3 new designs I came up with this winter. I'm doing a lot of wholesale business this summer also , so please be patiant. I should have my web site reorganised soon. Thanks again. Please forward to all club members. Ol Mizzoura David Allan Durr
