Thanks for asking about my MRI. The actual procedure went very well. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the particular location where the imaging was done had a new 2 million dollar machine waiting to take my pictures, instead of the torture chamber they used to have. (The West Los Angeles VA Hospital has more than one MRI machine in different locations on the hospital grounds)
This new machine did not feel quite so claustrophobic. It wasn't an "open MRI," since you still went into a cylindrical tube. But there seemed to be more room, once inside. Also, the time it took to perform the imaging was significantly less. I was only in the machine for about 20 minutes, compared to previous times when it would take nearly an hour for MRI's on my back.
I have already had my lumbar spine fused with instrumentation (rods n' screws), so I know the drill. Next will come the consult with the surgeons in Orthopaedics once they've had a chance to review the images. And then, more than likely, another surgery? I'll definitely keep ya posted!
Here's a pic of what my first fusion looks like. This X-Ray was taken shortly after that surgery...
As you can see by the date on the X-Ray this was only 3 years ago. Now the levels above and below that hardware need some hardware of their own. In other words, I'll probably need to have a whole lot more rods n' screws drill into me. Ouch!
Back surgeries are like opening a can of worms. Once you have the first one, you can almost bet you'll be having another one!
OOOOO--- that is a exspensive Knife now--bet you wish you didnt use it---but I know it served you well-----when I was Trapping I used a ole yellow handle 54 trapper--and that is what i carry all the time to this day never with out it.
Ken, thanks for the like on the folding skinner. It is a little unusual but it feel good in hand. I had the parts stored with some of my other blades & felt the Amber stag cut handles would look good on it an built it up. I have not been able to find this patterns parts anymore.
Thanks for the like on the sheep horn handled folding lockback. I will be posting one in Stag cut Amber bone in a day or two. This will be my favorite.
Thanks for the like on my lock back folder. I am doing 2 of these in buffalo, 2 in exterior sheep horn & 1 in stag cut amber bone for one of my fellow knife club members. I will post the other version's when I get them done.
Thank you sir! This is my first day here and I already LOVE this site!!

Ken, thanks for the like on the Case bulldog. I lucked in on this one before anyone else had seen it & was able to work out a good trade.
