Trent .. you back yet .. or .. Ning still think your spamming ??
Say, I'm trying to locate some RFQ's that were issued by the DOD for knives. Such as .. Gerber's auto/assist that's being issued to our troops.
Specifically, I'm looking for the acceptance specs & performance testing criteria. I believe this would form a very sound basis for a knife review for the iKnife community.
I've attached an example file. It's not exactly what I'm looking for. But, it does identify the performance criteria held important for this knife model & the test methods for verification of these criteria.
Anyway .. I've experienced limited success. You seem to have a knack for ferreting out info on the web. If you could take a quick look .. it'd sure be appreciated ..
Glad you made it back. Honestly, I knew if any one had the tenacity to stay on NING and get it fixed it'd be you. Thanks for keeping at it. iKC wouldn't have been the same without you. I'd had to make your page a memorial to you :)
Trent .. ya gonna work up an econ paper for us ??? Hey .. a step toward an econ article for whatever it is Scott wking on @ the moment ... that'd be cool .. author a white paper for an online periodical !
.. trying to find production data is like pulling teeth .. it's easier to get rich playing lotto #'s ..
.. you'd think publicizing 20+ yr old production data could somehow be twisted around by marketing & used to their advantage .. especially with the boom in collecting ..
Yeah .. it seems Co.'s have to go out of business before that data becomes public ..
Rate of appreciation of knife A vs. knife B .. don't ya have to derive a formula describing sales ~ including all factors affecting sales .. and then .. f(x) for appreciation .. including all factors ~ for accuracy .. then, take the derivative .. d/dt (F(x) appreciation) .. shoot .. no prob .. we'll get right on that .. Hehehe
Trent, Sorry for the delay in responding. Well the case referance has 60 years on the Spyderco. Find me in 2070 and we can compair notes , Please keep in mind I will be 97 years old ! LOL. OK all kidding aside people collect what they like, At the moment Spyderco's have my attention. The sprint run models will in the long run be worth more then a tradtional released just based on limited volume. Another side of this is , The sprint run releases offer differant blade styles, scales etc. So it makes available options not had before. As to the direct question what will gain value faster, beauty in the eye of the beholder , and desire will forcast given values. , Collect on. Glenn
