Hi Trent, Spyderco will make a limited run of a "old knife design" Some new designs IE Differant steel used, differant scales used etc. Its a varient model

Here is from the Spyderco wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spyderco#Sprint_Runs

Sprint Runs
Spyderco often produces limited edition models, referred to as sprint runs. These limited runs are generally versions of discontinued models with different blade and handle materials, though some are completely new models, such as the Kopa; a "dress knife" with several variants, each with a different handle material such as micarta, evrina, and tiger coral.

And also from Spyderco's website. The max is 1500 pieces, but some are released with as little as 500.

http://www.spyderco.com/search/index.php#glossary

Sprint Run

A limited, one time only, production of a knife design/model. Production numbers are less than 1500 pieces.

Hope that helps, Glenn

Yea, I have gone to bladeforum occasionally. Not recently though. I would love to get a Schrade group started here. Just don't have time to be a leader with all the shows I do, regular work, etc. LOL

"Invitational" style show... so no penniless, gawking, party crashers allowed? Maybe if my name was Mike Seagal, Lawlessman I could get in. Cool pic Trent!

Hi Trent, Thanks for extending the friendship. You've got family in my neck of the woods, and I've got family in yours, Lancaster and Lake Hughes. No brick and mortar store for me, all sales online, my site, ebay, etc. You're close to Solvang, have you ever made it over to to the Nordic Knives store and show? Been meaning to make that show for years but just hasn't worked out. Mike

don't worry you're in good company. I'm the managing editor of PlayGround Magazine here in the Philippines. A cross-platform gaming magazine. But I've been collecting knives even before that. :D

Heck no....but I am going to San Diego with my wife in March...does that qualify?!
She's getting a cert in CrossFit to teach the CF Kids program here. It'll be her first job since we got married....she's nuts, but she wants to do it, so what the heck.....
