Central KY Knife Show - 5-9-14

Posted on May 9, 2014 at 16:26 6 Comments

Was a great knife show today as usual. Lots of knives, vendors, and people. Saw and talked with 3 of our members: Jim Thompson, Ken M., and Roger Cunningham. Gina Smith was there to but I couldn't find her. Did not see Adam Archer, he may come tomorrow. Also did not see Charles Reed.

I went down every isle and looked at lots of knives and even bought some.

Knife Sheaths

Posted on April 30, 2014 at 13:29 31 Comments

There are many different kinds of sheaths. I like the ones that snap up on the knife handle. The ones that snap lower around the thumb piece, to me, does not work well. Its easy to get the knife out, but not so easy to get the knife back in.

Below is a picture of 10 different kinds of knife sheaths.

Do you have any different kinds or pictures of sheaths.

Ken,

If the stamping of your knife features a rooster .. you could compare it with the pic I posted on your  Bertrand Cutlery discussion page. It may provide narrowing down a date of manufacture.
Glad to help,
D ale

Thanks Ken.  And, regarding the text reader.  Talkie works pretty well.  I tested it out for a friend.  However, depending on the device you use ... text reading may also be a part of your operating system.  I've only used Apple products since the 80s.  Text to speech is built into the system, so personally, have no need to install an extension/plug-in in a browser.

I think you saw it all Ken.  Only 3 lines...

I was wondering recently and hoping we would hear from you soon.I have had many friends with that and it is very frustrating, I am so so sorry.  Your typing was perfect !  It sure sounds like you have added some wonderful pieces and I know they have made their way to a good home

Good evening Ken.  It was great to do business with you today at the show.  I wish I'd known it was YOU when we getting your purchase together.  The show was really a lot of fun and from the pictures and comments on here this evening, it looks like there were several iKnife people there.  I know we handed out several of Jan's cards for iKnife.  Hopefully some new people will join.

Hello again Ken, Do you know what a Kibbutz is? Anyway I work at fixing computers for the hundreds that we have in our community and business. We do have lots of agriculture, growing all field crops, and avocados, citrus, lichee, chilens, cows, meat and for milking.

We also own a large multinational plastics factory called Palram. We have factories in Israel, England and the U.S.A. I worked at ours for 20 years doing different things before leaving to start the computers dept. on the kibbutz.
