I think Al Mar will only be thought of and sold as a high end knife if it says on blade Al Mar Japan ones say china will be worhless

I think time will tell on this one. A.G. Russell was able to pull it off with intense quality control.  I do think the Japan marked will have an initial interest and increase that will hold.
