Nice, a knife to keep a look out for!
Sorry Ron Kershaw does not make the number of limited edition public maybe 250-400 just keep in mind that this will be only the number of blades made allot of them can be blems because of the final quality control so who knows how much of them did made it to he stores plus KAI is changing the sale policy and limited editions knives will be sold directly on their web page as 1 knife per household.
@Michael A. Smith Michael I don't think you will find this knife at any local or online dealer some were shipped to distributors all over the world and the second batch was sold with the nice display case via kershaw's online shop to save on packaging and space the international package was only the small box with a rolled certificate inside the box and knife yes that was a cheap thing to do but I got the knife few weeks before the official release in the US.
Thanks, Michael!
@Ron Cooper: My Steel Composition & Reference app says it's rather high, between 65 and 67 HRC.
The app is available for Android, haven't checked the Apple app store for it, I just use it on my Nexus, comes in handy a lot, check it out if you can, lots of useful info on steel compositions and such.
Wow! Patrik, I must have skipped school back in October when you first posted this video? What an amazing knife! Love those red stand-offs! I would love to have this knife without all the graphics - Just plain titanium. Do you know how many Kershaw is making? And what the Rockwell hardness on that ZDP-189 steel is? Just curious.
Congrats to you and Andy!!
Nice knife!
I can't find this knife anywhere online, not that I think I could afford it right now but I looked. Most of the videos I've seen of it, it came in a nice presentation box, looks like they are cheaping out on that end now, what a shame. Still a sweet knife though, congrats!
Thanks Andy enjoy your Ruby.
Nice, Patrik!
I was lucky to have received Ruby #20, and I have already carried and used the knife. It is a GREAT slicer, with a beautifully ground distal taper and the wonderful Hitachi ZDP-189 steel, it is quite a useable knife!
Add the Kershaw Velocity Technology and it adds up to a smooth operating, high end flipper!
best
