Have not been able to find any information on this knife. Maybe I'm not reading the stamp correctly.

Looks like "CUTLY"

Does anyone have any knowledge to offer on this one?

The only information I have been able to find is that they were made in Japan. Both of my older brothers had this knife when I was a boy which would make it 50+ years old. The only reference I can find to this company is a toy manufacturer. Perhaps this was a sideline to their business, as the only examples I can find are these hobo styled knives. Going to visit my brother on Thansgiving ( He's the other knife fanatic} and see if he still has his or remembers where or how he aquired it. If I learn anything new, I'll be sure and let you know.

i have only seen it on the hobos above as well.they actually turn up alot around here flea markets and such. i owned one of the hobos for a bit and then gave it to my nefu .

John, "made in Japan" makes sense. I think any other country would have stamped it's origin during that time period.

Safe trip...enjoy the carbs, football & family!

Usually when I find these the scales are broken because of the cut outs. This one will get a cleaned, oiled and go into one of my disaster prep crates...because you never know...

Happy Turkey Day!

Thanks for fixing my photos Steve.....again.

The photo generator at the bottom of the page throws me off because it looks like the one I use all the time on that site that "shall not be named" for selling....LOL

That's OK Michael, I greatly enjoyed looking at them!

Michael, I went to visit my brother today.Unfortunately, he no longer has his hobo. But he did confirm the vintage I gave you before. He was also pretty sure that he purchased it at Western Auto, which later became Ace Hardware/Western Auto.Back then,Western Auto was best known for tires and auto supplies. They also sold bicycles, housewares, rifles, shotguns,Case brand knives as well as other brands of knives.

Good information John, Thanks for looking into it...I appreciate the effort and great photos by the way of your brothers collection.

No problem, Michael. I was happy to do it. If  I'm not holding a knife in my hands, I enjoy looking at them or researching them or talking about them. HMMM---Could I possibly be a "knife addict" ?? NAAAH--LOL
