It has a full tang and is made of stainless steel.

First guess a knife that looks like a duck.  Second would be a gardening tool of some type

My grandmother used something like this to pull weeds and trim grass. Hers had a wood handle though.

Does it have a sharpened edge?

It looks to have something to do with Carpeting.

Some were very close.  It is a gardening tool.  It is used to get the grass and moss out of the cracks in the sidewalk.  But, like others have mentioned, I love that it looks like a duck.
