A knife with Micarta handles or scales, is a durable choice for and EDC knife.

Bob Loveless pioneered the use of Micarta as a handle material.

I love the way micarta gets sticky and grips better when your hands get sweaty or wet.

At the East Coast knife show this week, one of the things I need to pick up is some Micarta !

I sure would love to add a nice knife, with some ebony wood scales, to my collection.

Ebony is dense enough to sink in water.

Ebony and Ivory live together in perfect harmony.

I have discovered that there are many different types of Ebony wood.

I love ebony handles on a Searles Bowie.

Though I like the looks of ebony on some knives I do not see myself buying a traditional that does not have bone or stag handles.

I do not have a knife with ebony scales.

I would like to have a few knives in Ebony.
