Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

It can be by pattern, style or maker; fixed or folder. What ever makes them a collection. You may post more than one collection but just 3 to 6 knives in each.

This is not a contest, just a way to show us your knives, for all to enjoy. Lets have some fun.

Great collections everyone.

Welcome Joe, I love your knives.

Those are fantastic, Joe!  Do you know when they were made?

Great knives Joe

Ken, Old Cutler was a line brought out by Colonial in the late 70's.  It was their high end knife.  I haven't used any of them but just handling them they seem to be very solid well made knives.

You can read a little more about them at this link.  Scroll down to the bottom of it.

Thanks Charles for the history on Old Cutlery, I had heard about it before but I had forgotten. They are sweet old knives.

I was wondering if there is anyone else besides me that collects, "Richards" from Sheffield England or "Richardz" from Solingen, Germany? They are both the same company but moved from Germany to England around 1930, to get away from Hitler and the Nazis.  Thus the name change. Thanks.

Thanks for opening & adding that pic, John! Hopefully I will get this place figured out soon.

Thanks for the complements folks.I think Imperial started making their autos in the mid/late 40's til 1957 when they were banned altogether.

Robert, I have a ton of old Richards shell handles! Love that lamp post logo. I'll have to get some pics posted!

Joe

Here are a couple Richards Sheffield counter sales cards...

Thanks Charles, that helps.

Wow, you sure do have some Richards. I love them. They are from and era gone by. It brings a tear to my eye to remember those old knives from when I was a boy. I like the ones with things on their handles, Cowboys, Animals well just all sorts of things. I try to collect the ones from Germany to, under their name "Richardz".

Those Richards knives are fantastic Joe!  I love the cards!

Joe, do you have any idea, how many African animals they put on the handles? I own only two and that's all I've ever seen for sale. Thanks. I'm still buzzing about your Richards collection. I love it.
