Well I think there should. I'll describe what I'm talking about..
I recently emailed Spyderco suggesting some new ideas for the Tenacious. As every tactical knife collector should know, the Tenacious was a HUGE hit, everyone loved it..
Then, if I'm correct, William Cutting invented the ZipTie mod to make it a wave opener. So I thought, since this was such a hit, that SpyderCo should come out with a few Tenacious II's, one with an Emerson Wave design, like they did with the Delica and Endura.
So I emailed them suggesting that.. And I also had a second idea. I suggested to them since a lot of people bought this knife, they should make a version with a bit higher quality of blade steel, perhaps VG10 or S30V (the two I suggested to SpyderCo in my Email). Of course it would be a bit pricier, maybe about $30+ on its current price. (I bought my Tenacious for $30.91 off of
www.yourcornerstore.com)
The Centofante III is made of VG10 and I paid $50 for that, so a retailed price tag on a Tenacious for $50 wouldn't be bad at all, neither would $60.
So I was wondering, besides myself, does anyone else support this idea?
Of course the Ziptie method is a cheaper way to go, but I think making a second version with the 'wave' would make it look a little more nice and original.
I think the more support there is on this subject, the closer SpyderCo will lean towards producing these knives..
