How about a discussion on Lanyards?
Types of lanyards and how used?
I could use about 4 good lanyards - anybody have some to sell?
How about some pics of knives with lanyards on them?

Another good lesson, thanks Jan. Can't wait to get some Paracord.
I have ordered some Woodland camo paracord thru a website and I am going to a Gun show this Saturday where if I remember right they sell paracord and other items. Maybe I can get some lanyard supplies there also.
I like a lanyard just as much as the next knife enthusiast might. I have tied on paracord, rawhide & actually braided a few leather fobs myself, too.
But since you asked I feel the need to show some, that a good friend of mine in Wyoming does. These are made of a unique thickness cord, and he supplies me with lanyards for my knives and knives I sell.
His name is Jason Gies , and can be reached via email gies340@yahoo.com
You can say you saw one of Vince's posts. I do not know the prices, but I know he does other stuff to,like duck call lanyards

Here is a picture of the style of leather fob I sometimes will attach to a knife ,and this is something I'd do for one of my knives,if, I have the leather available

Very nice Vincent, thanks for sharing.
Keep working at it, Ken! Trial and error is your friend! Have fun with it!
Ron, Problem: the cord is so thick, and the knife lanyard holes so small, how do you get them thru?
Well, that can pose a problem if the lanyard hole on the knife is too small for the paracord. But, depending upon the hole size, one method is to remove the 7 individual strands of nylon that are inside of the outer covering before your start your project. That way you will significantly reduce the paracord's thickness and it's much easier to fit into most lanyard holes. Give it a try!
Thanks Ron, I'll give that a try.
Yeah give that a try and see if it doesn't work out for ya. Even with the inner strands stripped out, once you start weaving it, it retains way more strength than you will ever need for a lanyard -- just to pull a knife out of your pocket.
