The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
I have a pretty large list of knives here that I was hoping that someone with much more knowledge than myself could take a look at and tell me what, if anything, that I have. They were part of my aunt's late husband's collection and she is really needing the money badly and I just didn't want to get her less than they are worth. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to take a look.

Where can the knives be viewed at? There are a lot of knowledgeable folks here, who would be willing to help out. Show us what you have and we'll go from there.
Lonnie, I would love to try and help but, unfortunately, when I try to either open or save your file I receive an error message" this file is unable to run because of missing or corrupted files " tried it with 2 different browsers with the same result- Maybe you can try to download or redo the file again??

Lonnie,
You have a lot of money there. Keeping them together as sets and selling them would attract the true collectors, but selling them piece by piece might bring more dinero.
To off-load them quickly... selling them as sets(as long as the date stamps are identical) and at what i have observed the current market will bear. I would list them no lower than:
Case XX Blue Pocket worn 8 pc set - $450-500
Case XX Tested 2 Dot Purple Appaloosa 11 Pc. Set - $550-600
Case XX 1 Dot Natural Bone 8 PC. Set - $350-425^
United Boker-10 Pc. Set-1989 - $300-350 (not really familiar with pre-2000 Bokers)
The individual knives are a crap-shoot, take really good detailed pictures of these knives and verify if the factory edges are still there. Maybe $35-110 (smallest knife to the largest).
Now I must reiterate that these numbers are estimates, based on my experience with buying knives on eBay and other sites. You may get lucky and someone will offer you a lot more, then again it could go the other way.
Depends on what you're willing to let them go for.
Good luck!
Lonnie, gave you some prices on some of the Case knives and the Puma the other day in chat- But, I am intrigued by those Boker Christmas Trees-Already told you Boker is not my area of expertise, but here goes.-What I am seeing around the web is an asking price of $100 to $165 per knife-Those, mind you are asking prices not what they sold for.-But, the curious thing is, none of the ones I've seen had serial numbers- From what I can tell, all of yours have the matching # 042-Makes me wonder how limited a series it was with the serial number-Might make them very valuable to a Boker collector- I counted 12 knives, all I presume with the matching low serial numbers- Hopefully, A Boker collector can chime in with some more info- Those Bokers might be a real sleeper when it comes to value~~
Thanks a lot guys, and it is just a 10 piece set on the Boker, John.
