Hola Bear & Sons enthusiasts. Can anyone tell me what knife should be in a Custom Heritage Collection Limited Edition Series that has the the Number RGS6193T on the bottom. Tin says number 28 of 100 and it came with a five inch toothpick also 28 of 100. Seems to have a titanium coated blade and either stag or stag-bone scales. The real question I have is it stag or stag bone. Pictures to follow.
Tobias, maybe we can help when the pics get here
I have several Bear & Son and Bear MGC knives and have had no problems with the quality. I gave my son a Invincible Hunter and my son-in-law a yellow delrin Bird and Trout for Christmas. Got myself a 4 1/8 trapper. I also have a few of the wildlife series 5" lockbacks. I am wondering if they contracted for some Keen Kutter knives back 10 or so years ago also, as I have a couple that remind me of their work. Does anyone know?
Rob, I wish I could say the same. That said, they're large toothpicks have not let me down. I was also pleased with my Bear Sharpfinger knock-off. I was less impressed with some of the BSA knives made by Bear & Son.
I've also read mixed reviews of the Remington Boy Scout Scout Replicas made by Bear with one trusted colleague saying very negative things about their overall quality.
Ending on a positive note, I have one of their Balisongs that is simply a rock-solid joy at a very affordable price.
