Spent a few moments with Cayce at Premium, things are looking good for thier growth, if you have not had the chance to see the latest on them, check it here http://iknifecollector.com/forum/topics/new-usa-jobs-a-new-locking-...
A joyous moment for me was having the opportunity to not only meet our own Garett Finney but also to meet his father and put my hands on his work! This young man will go far in the industry and it is my understanding that being at the Blade Show this year will have been good for him. Garett is a man of strong family values and faith and a moment of fellowship on Saturday was as welcome as could be. Garett's profile and his knives can be found here http://iknifecollector.com/profile/GarettFinney
A knife company I have followed from the beginning and watched grow over the years, White River Knives, never disappoints! A collaborator with White River is Jerry Fisk and I was happy to have been at their booth when he stopped by
There is no telling what I would have given to have gotten a sneak preview of what was in that box!!
I have to say, with the wonderful array of knives they had out, I am always drawn to the filet knife. This one was reviewed by our own Robert Burris a couple of years ago http://iknifecollector.com/group/asharperreview/forum/topics/white-...
Among the characters you will meet at Blade...Edmond Davidson.
His skill is apparent in the above knife. 136 diamonds, if I have it right 2 lbs of gold and the base metal for this knife? 4lbs of 154CPM!! To give you a view into the wonderful personality of this knife maker and the fun to be had when he is around check out the video
He did ask that I tell you...he did not choose the title for the video
I would never miss a chance to visit at the tables for Alabama Damascus. A company more devoted to knifemakers and the family of knife folks, you could not meet! At this booth you can look over the steels available directly though them AND makers that use their steels right there with them. Imagine a Block of tables approx 12 foot by 12 foot, showcasing the raw and the finished items by esteemed makers.
Mr Larry Pridgen
And Virgil!!
Although I have spoken to Drew at Ontario many times, I had never actually met him. Stopping by their booth brought many good experiences. I had known that Paul Tsujimoto had rejoined OKC but had not had a chance to see or congratulate him since it was announced. So not only did I get to have a very stimulating discussion about the military knives that OKC provides our services but I left knowing that OKC views the opportunity to help out military as a privilege and an honor.
I finally made it to see the guys and gals at Fiddleback Forge but the only way for me to get near their table in 2 days was t come in from the back side LOL. I really need to get one of their new production models for a future contest for us
