I have a new leather sheath thats a very light tan color. I would like to make it a dark brown, an uneven aged look would be fine. So, is there a cheap and easy way using something I may have around the house to darken up this sheath? Thanks.

old english scratch remover will darken it to a rich dark brown  like walnut wood

Interesting suggestion Mark, and I happen to have a bottle of that sonewhere.

LOVE old english and it should not hurt the leather as it is an oil based product.

i use to make dog collars and after staining you might want to seal with a wax like ,(snow seal) to keep it from bleeding.  also set the leather in some form of heat to open the pores it will take a dye more even and deeper.

Great suggestions Mark!
