Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

The bobcat was active this month.

This hawk was trying to make this squirrel his lunch but apparently missed him.  In the second picture (five seconds later) the hawk is gone and the squirrel is still there.

Well it seems that the predators are hungry in your area this spring.  You be careful with that cat running around

Nice photos Charles - if you look in the second squirrel / hawk photo you can actually see the hawk still there, flying off - right in front of a tree just in front of the fence, between 11 and 12 o'clock. You can see it if you look carefully but it might be a little more obvious when you zoom to full size were you can very easily see the stripes of the tail feathers and wing shape

Wow .. good eye for detail , Allanm !!!

I am always careful when I am out and about, whether it is in the woods or the concrete jungle.  And I am always armed.  I am more likely to have a close encounter of the skunk kind than meeting up with that cat.  Twice I have gotten too close for comfort with skunks while hunting.  And once I think I might have been stalked by a coyote.  I was walking to my deer stand in the dark.  My backside had no sooner touched the seat in the stand when a coyote howled right outside it.  It was so loud and so close I nearly jumped out of my skin!

I don't think I ever would have noticed that if Allan hadn't pointed it out.  My eyes aren't what they used to be.  Actually I don't think they ever were what they used to be!  LOL
