Yea!

I have been directed to this group, after not being able to find it on my own. Guess I'm still computer challenged.

I have many, many military WWII Camillus knives and bayonets in my collection. These weapons have served our country well. Love the brand!

Mario,

They do have a fantastic history, our research group has captured a little of it http://iknifecollector.com/group/kniferesearch/forum/topics/camillus

Not only did Camillus make millions of fixed blade and folding knives for the US military during WWII, after that they became the "go to" production cutler for many other companies, including Sears, and Montgomery Wards, and also many other knife companies like Buck.

I have a full set of the Buck 300 Series that was made by Camillus from 1972-1985, (I have no single photo showing all of them together, will work on that and post it later), plus several Camillus-made SFO's made for Buck, and also have several other Camillus branded knives. Of those my favorite by far is the #26 Folding Hunter, (5" closed SS blades), which was the basis for the popular Buck #317 Trailblazer. This one has Stagalon simulated bone handles, and the blades are hollow ground, (unlike the #317 which has flat ground blades). A fine knife, I carry it in a belt sheath and carry it often. This one was made in the mid 80's.
