Hey Everyone

I've been having a very hard time trying to find out more information about this knife. I'm helping my mum clear out some of her old collections. She was given this about 50 years ago from someone she belived had just come back/ served in the Military from India. It's Bronze with what i belive is an embosed depiction of Shiva on it. But i may be widly mistaken.

It's a Pocket knife / Kirpan aprox 3.5" folded. The Blade is 2.5" and surprisingly still sharp. Are there any other details that may help.

Also where is a good place to sell these kind of knives, eBay in the UK dose not permit them.

Many thanks for any help you can give

Chris

Any pictures of any markings on the blade helps a lot. Maker's stamp, Made In stamp, and graphics or engravings, Usually found on the tang or the area of the blade closest to the handle.

Thanks for the responce Steve. unfortuantly there are no maker markers (at least that i can tell), which is why i've found this so hard to source info on it. I appriciate that will also make it impossible here. I was just looking for information on what type of knife it may be.

No information, but eBay had one...

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/162516323132
Different design, on etsy. Could give a date range...

Etsy has several from different sellers.

Found one similar, on eBay.

Thanks JJ that's a big help. So it seems they are not hugly uncommon, it's Brass not Bronze & from the 60's which bears out from what my mum said. Seems i may even been right about Shiva ;)

It seems it's just eBay UK that won't permit the sale of knives (as America seems fine with it). Do you know of a good place?

Thanks
