The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Any other vintage collectors of Parkers, American Blade, Taylor, United Boker, Frost, or STAR brands out there?
Am far from an expert on these brands, but I do own a few! I typically have gone "straight to the horses mouth", with many of my questions answered by Buzz Parker. Have another friend, who I would consider experienced with '80s SEKI produced brands. Drop me line, or a question anytime please! Thanks.

Jan,
They made them for , I think one year in the nineties. They (Coleman) , made six patterns in stag and seven in blue bone.
I have Seki City Japan knives through a lot of brands, Like Early Sog, AG Russell, Taylor Knives, Etc........
Back in the 80's It's like no one wanted Japan Knives, Now they bring a high dollar, I think If you collect knives you will have a Seki City Made knife, Some maybe not yet, But you can't just collect USA made knives, If you do, You are missing out on a lot of great knives!

Hey Tony, I agree with you on folks missing out on SEKI made steel, lots of nice vintage pieces out there too!

Hi Tim,
I for one love the knives from Seki.. In my personal collection I have several of the Junglee Seki made knives and dearly love them.. Their orig. factory in Seki closed down some yrs ago and now they are made in Tiawan.. Needless to say, all my Junglees are of Seki origin.
I have only one that I know of.
I just bought this one because it was made in Seki Japan. Well that was part of it. I like the pattern as well.
Whoa Thats a beauty
Thank you...I sold over 5k of my knives last weekend so I figured I deserve it! lol

Wow, nice one David
Thanks Billy, just trying to ease the pain from selling so many of my collection last weekend. I've actually bought several since. lol ..I was going to ask anyone here if they've seen one like this one which is a combo by Van Camp? I think it is the canned beans company.

Hi Jay, Seki is a place in Japan that makes great steel and uses it on their knives. Someone here mentioned they don't make them there anymore, but now these companies make them in Taiwan. I didn't know that. Then again, there is much I do not know..

Very nice photos - and knives!
Okay - I'm showing my ignorance here - what is SEKI?
Jay
Tim,
I have quite a few of these Seki knives laying around. As a young man without much cash flow in the mid 80's to early 90's , these were just about my only option to continue with my accumulating/collecting.
I still have a lot of them , but over the years have gifted many to my nephews as I know the excitement of getting a new knife sparks dreams of big adventure in the young mind. At least it sure did for me.
