Thanks fellas.  And Craig ... extra thanks for educating this seahorse collecting novice!  I had heard the term "as ground" before ... just hadn't seen one.  I guess they do not mark the box sticker to indicate this.  For some reason it didn't click when I looked at the blades.  I was just so fixated on .... how no one could notice it during assembly!  As I said ... I do like the look.  Personally, I favor non-polished blades on any knife.  Polished and super mirror polished blades just tend to get spider web scratches and swirls just by looking at them!

Dennis, I personally loved the look of the ground blade.

You're not alone Billy!!!

I only wish they would have offered the black G10 with satin finish bolsters too.

Your welcome Dennis, glad I could be some help.

Over on the Case Forum the opinion is kinda mixed on the "As Ground" blades, with some liking them and some that don't. But I'd say generally they are liked for an occasional series at least.

Took advantage of a Black Friday sale to order a new Seahorse, however the big news for me has to do with the new one that arrived yesterday.  I have to tell you, I thought long and hard before buying it, as the price was hard to justify for what started out in life as a $50 knife.  But, to make the decision guilt free .... I sold a knife from my collection which more than covered the cost.  Here she is .... and, in my opinion, a real beauty.  It's a 2002 model which was fully customized by Joshua Kidd (Wild Horse Knives) with some really beautiful Mammoth bark ivory covers.

Sadly,  this beauty is no longer with me.  It developed some problems that could not be fixed so had to send it back ... with a deep sigh and a tear!   I was going to just delete the post and pics ... but I like looking at them!!!

Beautiful one, Dennis.

Pretty dang impressive. Grats!

Awesome!

Very nice Dennis!

Thanks guys .... really like the colors in the Mammoth on this one.  Hopefully, my Black Friday buy will be here Monday or Tuesday.

I just got two new Ponies I need  to get posted.
