Sorry that it's taken so long, for me, to come by and say howdy, and welcome you to iKC.

Hope you have a great time with us, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Well my new friend...for my EDC, it really depends on where I am at every day! I work in a bank, so carrying anything that intimidates or compensates for manhood is a severe career limiting move....to be sure. In my office bag, I carry a Kershaw Crown folder, while in my desk is the smaller sibling Crown II. I am one of two guys in a department of 40 people, and these don't seem to intimidate or frighten the ladies.

In my casual bag that I carry when not in the bank, I carry my Kershaw Scrambler. This is a really good workhorse. Unfortunately, this particular model of Scrambler is a discontinued model. I'm not sure if the other Scrambler is still live or not.

Now, if my everyday includes any road trip, backpacking, day tripping, or back country exploring - then it's my go-to Muela Mirage 20 along with a trusted Buck 110...the perfect duo.

I'm assuming you know what a Buck 110 looks like, because I do not seem to have a photo of one handy. Hmmm.

Anyway, I used to be a Desert / Alpine Search & Rescue officer in Arizona, and that duo did everything demanded of them. So - why mess with a good thing?

To really answer your question though - if I had my way, I would carry a fixed blade for sure. Other than the folders mentioned here, I really haven't found a use for them. For me, there is just something cool about having a fixed blade knife strapped to your waist or your pack.

And you? Do you differentiate your EDC between FL & NC, or is the same same for both environments?

Well hello Joseph - welcome to iKC! We're glad you're here!

Besides exploring the Top 5 things as mentioned by Jan, feel free to explore the groups to see which "feed" your interests. And although this is a knife collecting forum....you'll soon see that if a knife can fit anywhere in the discussion, there's a group for it. So be sure to show off some of those "Knife" band saw boxes you are so famous for....we are always looking for fresh display ideas!

Feel free to ask questions too - always someone around to help out -
