Does anyone have any information on this particular brand or blade? Frider Herder Abr Sohn Solingen Germany Ace of Spades?

Picked up an Imperial (Schrade) Sodbuster off of eBay to help with the knife cravings.

Other than the shield it feels just like a CASE Sodbuster Jr.  Different grind also, but I like it.

Hopefully, it'll help me make it, till the Charlotte carving show, next month.

John to me it is more of a skinner type blade

What would you call the tip on a sodbuster? A round spear? And why is it shaped that way?

JJ, I prefer mine with a birdseye

Silly question, is a sodbuster a sodbuster if it doesn't have the Birdseye pivot?
