Thanks Ken. I stumbled across iKnifecollector while looking in info on a Parker Imai I recently picked up. I'm still stumbling around the site looking at everything. Tons of information here.
Thanks! Also, is there a way to directly reply to comments on here? Lol I'm new and couldn't figure out how to reply to your greeting on the GEC group.
Thanks Ken for the welcome. I am new to the more traditional knives collecting, but man those GEC patterns and builds look awesome. I can not wait to get my hands on some. Thanks
Thank you Ken, I was given a Great Eastern a couple of years ago for Christmas and at that point was not familiar with the brand. The one I got was a Farm & Field tool and what it lacked in looks it more than made up for in quality. I use it weekly if not daily for various tasks around my shop, primarily for cutting open FedEx boxes and the like. Then last year the same person got me a Blade Forums #35 "Double End Harness Jack" Limited Production model. I must say it's a stunner in burnt orange worm groove bone. I will admit I tend to look at this one more than I use it. Prior to getting these, my favorite all-time carry knife was (and still is) my WW2 Camillus Navy knife, one that was a rusted-up, broken-tipped basket case when I got it. After welding a new tip on it, refinishing the pitted and rusted blade, and oiling it up good, it makes a fine 75-year old daily carry knife. I was telling somebody else on your page that I ate a thick steak with it just yesterday. While my favorite knife is the old Camillus (for the same reason you love that one-eyed dog you throw in the truck and take home and feed), the Great Eastern line is my favorite line overall..

Happy Birthday Ken!
Thanks Ken, don't have a lot of GEC's but have a couple. I certainly enjoy them and enjoy whittling.

Thanks for the add. Don't have any GEC knives (yet), but am hoping for a TC Barlow one of these days, will be watching.
Thank you Ken. I appreciate the hospitality here.
Might take me a while to figure out all the bells & whistles to navigate this place, but I will get there.
