As to your question about sharpening/sharpeners;  at the top of the page, right corner,  you can search the entire site with the search box.

Hi ya Ben....welcome to iKC! I saw your comment and question regarding knife sharpeners. For a DIY sharpener, it's hard to wrong with the Lansky system, but it's also not the only game in town. 

There is this group here on iKC you may want to review and consider joining - Knife Sharpeners - it may lead you to what you really want to know .

It's not listed in the main Groups section, so it may be a sub group. There are lots of sub groups (See the group Box Full of Knives). 

I hope this helps. If not - have fun searching all throughout iKC by using the Search bar in the upper right corner of the screen next to your name and Sign Out. I believe I saw 27 pages of delicious content just searching for Knife Sharpener.
