i found this knife and one other in a back of a drawer at my mom's after she passed.i was wondering if someone could tell me more about them.thanks

ths is the other knife it says japan on it. all advice welcome.thanks

Stephen this appears to be an English Bread Knife. Maybe a frozen food knife. Usually bread knives have a greater trough between peeks.

IMHO,  Sheffield looks like a bread and the Japan a frozen food knife
