Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Of all the knives I collect, my favorite are these Damascus Boker Annuals. They began making these in 1980 and I have been able to acquire many at good prices because the market for them is low these past few years. All the 23 I have purchased were at a fraction of their original msrp. That is why I have been able to afford them.

You can look at all the annuals on the attached site.

http://www.boker.de/index.php?c=2115

I am missing the 1981, 1983, 1984, 1987 and the 1990-1997.

I have doubles of the 2001, 2004 and 2006 that I would love to trade for what I am missing.

Any other collectors of these knives a member of the community seeking to trade or sell?

I have some but they are not for sale, sorry. Good luck with your collection project, sounds like a real winner.

Which ones do you have?

I'm not sure of the years, one is on my Home Page and the other is at my cousins law office on display in another town. I'm sure they are both after the year 2000 and are traditional style type knives. I like both of them and plan on keeping them.

I was just curious about the ones you had and how you came to choose those in particular.

I love traditional style knives thats why I bought those.

Hey Art, it is so good to hear from you again. I hope the collection is going well. I know it's hard to find those collectables. You know, just those that you want in your collection. We'll keep an eye out. I love Moose, Barlows and Hobo's. So, I know, the feeling and collecting....fever..lol

Good Day Art

All of them was never used nor was it cleaned only have some finger print marks on them.

I will only sell them as a set as im not really collecting anymore the place that did bring them to South Africa stopped for a few years so i was not able to go on with the set.

hugh,

I am now only missing the 81,83,84,87 and 90. I have duplicates of several others already and do not need more. If you are only interested in selling them as a set, I am out of luck.

Thanks anyway.

Thats no problem.

The big reason i want to sell them as a set is there is not many poeple collecting them and if i sell them off piece by piece its going to drop the value of them.

Some guy was here and he said the set as is with the 1995 one missing is worth about $9500 to $10 000.

Hugh,

I think it highly unlikely you will be able to sell them as a set. Selling them individually will actually get you more money.

For the past several years here in the USA they have not been highly popular nor commanded the value that they should. If you look at Ebay Boker Damascus for these older Annual knives, you will be disappointed in the actual selling prices, not the asking prices. The estimated value you have been given reflects what these knives might have gotten in the 1990s when they were at their highest value. The 18 annuals you have are worth a fraction of that amount in the USA today. Perhaps if you sell them in Europe they will get higher prices.

Do you have a photo you can post of the 5 knives I am seeking?

You are aware that the series began in 1980?

Hi Art

Yes i do know they started in 1981 but the company that brought it to South Africa started in 1981.

This collection was started by my dad and the guy told my dad that he will try and get the 1981 one for him but never did.

I did have a look on ebay and the ones on there is going between $400 to $600 per knife

I do have pictures of all of them.
