Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

fake knives, fake ebay knife sellers, fake online sellers.have a knife you want looked at!.PICTURES AND ASK?..

i was wondering if anyone ....or if its been tried before would want a place to show knives they have already, may buy shortly, may EBAY,so  forth and etc etc.....post images and links and so forth...in a way that doesnt judge the seller..WE MUST ASSUME the seller may not KNOW!............A PLACE TO JUDGE THE KNIFE....for newbies to find the information they needed to grab that piece they have wanted at a great score....and a place where those with time in....CAN SHOW OFF!!! CUSTOMS WELCOME OF COURSE!!!

this room would not just have to be for fakes either, its could be for pointing out what you dislike in the newsest production knives.....as well as voicing your opinion on a companies customer service and so forth.THE BEST PART IS ITS NOT NEGATIVE.WHAT COULD BE MORE POSITIVE THEN LETTING THE PRODUTION KNIFEMAKERS OF TODAY KNOW HOW WE FEEL ABOUT THEIR CURRENT BLADES.AS WELL AS HELPING THOSE WHO WANT TO COLLECT VINATGE PIECES THAT IF REAL ARE AS STRONG MOST THE TIME AS ANY KNIFE FORGED NOW!

my goal is to simply help.....i already see alot of "cleaned"pieces ...and ground tangs posted as real knives......i havent mety a knfe collector that hasnt been burnt......keep that in mind. fake knives have ended up in the NKCA MUSEUM.....lease in the end do not beat youreself up......nor resell what you have proven as afake to recoup your money.know that you have taken one other piece of junk of the market.

also i will buy your fakes off you....i am currently building a FAKE knife collection ...purely for example.

anyway just an idea....hope you guys and gals like it.

of course sellers who sell nothig but fakes over time will get listed.to help new IKC/ebay buyers asap!

WE ARE INTO THIS TOGETHER!!!

Great idea Peter, and one I wholeheartedly support. One of the biggest thing is we try to stress at iKnife Collector is education. We want members, particularly new collectors, to learn the hobby and collect a little better from the start. This might just go a long way to helping people understand what they have. Now that is not to say as Peter has said, this is not to be critical of anyone, just the knife. And he can help you decide what that is your holding in that hand. Is it real, is it fake or has it been altered to make it seem newer or more mint!

Also if you have purchased something at a garage sale, or from a dealer or at a show and your just not sure. here will be a place to engage in discussion. Be prepared to post pictures, as this will help in the ID process.

One idea to consider Peter, is to show us some examples of what you mean. perhaps a side by side. One real and one fake and point out why. Don't know if its possible but sure might help.

ANYONE HAVE ANY KNIVES AT ALL THEY ARE WEARY OF???  ...or online/ebay sellers.

ITS POSSIBLE JUST USING EBAY LINKS.I KNOW ABOUT 8-10 cleaners/fakers ON EBAY ALONE!!!
