Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

So I took my son to Comp USA because he needed to return something he had bought.  As I was wasting time waiting, I noticed a display for Victorinox knives.  I thought it was odd.  I also assumed they would be selling at the MSRP but when I looked at the price guide I saw the SD going for $9.99 which is better than Walmart or Target. The other knives listed were also reasonably priced.

They had the little Pocket Pal also at $9.99!  I wasn't sure but I thought it went for around $13  so I figured, don't have it, just as well get it.   Then they rang it up and it was only $6.50.    Well then I said, I just as well do a price check on the other items I didn't have.

Unfortunately their was only two  other patterns I didn't have.  One  was a red handled Alox Pioneer and the other the Rescue knife.  I didn't have enough cash with me for the Rescue knife but the Pioneer was in range.  They had it listed at $17.99  but it rang out at $13.99.

The red handle appears to be discontinued and seems to be going for around $25 on eBay!

Two great knives for just over $20.  You can't beat that with a stick.

I may need to drive the 20 mile round trip again soon to see about picking up that Rescue knife and another Pioneer.

Has anyone else had a great find in an unlikely place?

Great story and a nice find. I recently picked up a
Long time discontinued victorinox champ xl, I was in
My all time favorite victorinox dealer here in Ireland, in Dublin city.
He had a drawer full of old models in nice red boxes. Said they were not selling
So he put them away. So I bought the champ xl for 50 euros!
And that was reduced to sell, I also got a mini champ xl, the model with the brass
Liners for 25 euros. Both these knives are as rare as hens teeth.
I've pictures of both these models on my profile page.
Happy days!!
I had the opportunity to hit the Comp USA again today.  This tim eI asked about the Rescue tool.  MSRP, $94.  Amazon list  $62.   Comp USA price on the display $60.   Actual on sale price  $35!  It was the last one they had!  It is now my first Swiss Army knife with a glow in the dark handle.   Yep, I'm happy.

BOY!!!  Do I need to go to Comp USA and check out what they have here in Tampa
