A knife goes around the world

A few Weeks ago iKnifeCollectors own Josh Wills won a knife. Too cool HuH? We all love a give away and being the winner is awesome. Josh had a generous and wonderful idea that we are going to follow and feature right here. As a matter of fact we would like your help.

Josh suggested turning this knife into a 'traveler'. He had the idea of passing the knife around to people that were interested in using it for a week or so and then sending it on to someone else that wanted to try it out. Along the way, you'd add your name and what part of the world you live in to a slip of paper that stays with the knife so there would be a bit of a diary / travelogue accompanying it.

Here's some basic rules to participate:

1) If you agree to take the knife as an 'adoptee', you agree to post a short note on the forum about where the knife is, how it's used and performed. We'd also REALLY like to see a photo(s).

2) You will also be responsible for paying the postage to send the knife to the next participant.
3) Understand, you'll have to share your contact info with the person shipping the knife to you so if that's a problem, don't sign up.

4) Forward the knife after about a week. We don't want it to end up sitting on someone's desk for a month.

My club knife would appreciate some family for a week. As she is the only GEC in my accumulation of knives.

Well J.J. the little fellow had some hard work to do do here in Louisiana. He did a little electrical work, we had him help clean some wild game from squirrels to wild boar. We also used him in the kitchen to help prepare supper. He was able to accomplish all the cutting task we threw at him. I like a larger folder than this little guy but was surprised he helded up to the larger tasked. My overall opinion is this is a fine little knife capable of doing, large jobs. Oh, before I forget, it is very well made and should last the owner a very long time. Okay, he's ready for his next adventure. Just let me know, where his next home is located. Thanks alot of fun.

Do iKC members get some of the Boar?

I can do all that with some minimum skill, without tearing up the knife, and putting it to several uncommon tasks of common interest. Great idea, Greg— Thanks.

Andy,

It is an amazing journey it is on.  Off to the West coast for the holidays.  By Valentines day it should be begining its European tour

It's gonna need a bath!

He had a nice bath and a manicure right before he left South Carolina, Craig.  LOL

Hope you gave him a nice rub down too. LOL!

Well fellows, I don't think food prep is a uncommon task, if ya'll wanted tested to do easy jobs, you should have kept it out of south Louisiana...lol, the little knife did a great job, I didn't abuse it. It's ready for it's next knife lover. Thanks, this was fun.. I hope everyone that gets their chance to use it, enjoys the fun.

Geeeeeeeeee............I was just gonna ask where the traveler was....looks like it's a little snakey too me there!!!!!!!!!

Ooh, ooh, I'm next, I'm next!  To California from the great state of Lou'sanna.

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
