A knife goes around the world

A few Weeks ago iKnifeCollectors own Josh Wills won a knife. Too cool HuH? We all love a give away and being the winner is awesome. Josh had a generous and wonderful idea that we are going to follow and feature right here. As a matter of fact we would like your help.

Josh suggested turning this knife into a 'traveler'. He had the idea of passing the knife around to people that were interested in using it for a week or so and then sending it on to someone else that wanted to try it out. Along the way, you'd add your name and what part of the world you live in to a slip of paper that stays with the knife so there would be a bit of a diary / travelogue accompanying it.

Here's some basic rules to participate:

1) If you agree to take the knife as an 'adoptee', you agree to post a short note on the forum about where the knife is, how it's used and performed. We'd also REALLY like to see a photo(s).

2) You will also be responsible for paying the postage to send the knife to the next participant.
3) Understand, you'll have to share your contact info with the person shipping the knife to you so if that's a problem, don't sign up.

4) Forward the knife after about a week. We don't want it to end up sitting on someone's desk for a month.

When I passed him off to the Pony Express rider, it took 3 days to get to Lousiana.  He'll be out on the west coast soon, I'm sure.

UPS tracking indicated that an order that I was waiting for was delivered to a pharmacy, once.  Hate the UPS-USPS handoffs.

I agree one hand don't know what the other is doing!

Well guys, I sent it off the best I could, and I am sure it'll get there soon enough. The first leg on the Alligators back probably slowed everything down. I hope to find a faster alligator for next time....lol

Well, I will keep an eye out for him.

I am sure he will get there soon Brad

Brad, the knife should be there by now, if you don't get it today, I guess I'll have to go to the post office and find out the problem. Priority Mail, is a 3 or 4 day delivery, I was hoping you would have it by now, I want to see your photos.

Robert, you should be able to track it via the PO website.

Well I did have you send it to my Business PO Box. If the wife saw it at home she would have a fit. I will have my runner double check any pick up slips.

Yes, Miss Jan, had me send it to a Post Office Box. Strange. Maybe, Chirstmas, shipping is slowing it down. I've never had trouble with USPS, before.

He's stuck in a cold metal box?! Poor guy.

Well apparently he got the Royal Tour of the Factory today :)  Some great shots there Brad

It is going to be a great week for knife pics.

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
