I got into my box full of knives and pulled this little one out.  It is not expensive or even of very high quality.  I don't remember when or where I bought it, but I am sure it didn't cost more than a couple of dollars.  I bought it a few years ago simply because it caught my eye.  I like anything that combines knives and guns.

What is interesting about it is the words on it.  I had no idea what they were til today.  I could not read them until greatly magnifying them with the camera.  I am convinced one is "Eagle".  The other one appears to be "W?a?les".

Can anyone make out the second word and do they mean anything to anyone?

That would be W. Bailes, of London.  An 18th Century gun maker known for making Over/Under turn barrel pistols.  Look familiar:
