Very nice, Craig.  Can't go wrong with stacked leather on a well made American knife and the wrap-around sheath is always a great carry option.

Very, very nice
Love that shrath too!

Craig...

Good story and the sheath did turn out very nice.  I dabble in making holsters and knife sheaths.  I too love the Case fixed blades which sell for much less than their counterparts...folders.  Good job.

Very traditional! Sure is a good look!

Clint.  They do seem to sell for a lot less until the word "stag" or "bowie" is added to the mix!

Just because I'm feeling mischievous today, I'm going to post this image, just to tempt Craig into spending more money.  You know you want it Craig.  And your Case Hunter is lonely for a big brother.  And the answer is no -  I don't own it. (yet)

Tobias....

I had this knife which was a WWII Case Bowie and gave it to my Nephew.  The Bowie had seen some use so it was not mint.  Let us tempt him this way:

Thanks for the nice comments guys!

Toby, I had one of those big Case Bowies back around 1980. I made a distressed plaque for it. Another one I should have kept....darn it.

Has anyone one else bought a Case fixed blade lately? I was wondering if yours came as sharp as mine. I can't believe how sharp this thing is out of the box. I like a razor edge (not that I plan on using this one) and I wouldn't have to touch this thing up if I was going to use it. I can shave hair off my arm!

I guess I should add too that the sheath is REALLY nice! I can't fault it at all as far as quality. And you're right Toby, a nice wrap-around sheath is hard to beat.

Got my eye on one of these.......

That's a nice upswept skinner.  I also like that pommel.

It's easy to see why you're lookin' at them! Buffalo Horn is too cool! I'm not sure but I think the only ones that where Buffalo Horn before was the Pheasant knife. Though they probably had a couple others.

I always wanted a Buffalo Horn handled knife. I think one of those will do....and a big piece of horn to boot!

Some how, some way, I need to fit a Case fixed blade into my knife budget. Ken is Shaming me into it! LOL!
