Blade Brothers
DCL

Todd Begg is a knife-making legend with twenty years of experience turning slabs of steel into five-figure collectables. Begg’s clients, ranging from the eccentric billionaire to the novice collector, all seek out his talents for one-of-a-kind blades that combine art and function.

As demand for Todd’s skills leads to a six-year backlog of orders, Todd recruits his brothers to help run the business, hoping that they will free him up to make even more custom knives, which can bring in up to $200,000 per order. The only problem is that they know nothing about making knives. Oldest brother John was a drill sergeant in the army and worked in the oil and gas industry for 20 years, while goofball middle-child Mark is a former fashion model.

Will they rise to the occasion or fall short of Todd's demands for quality and precision? Watch as the Begg brothers attempt to utilize each other’s talents and work together to keep the business running smoothly.

Thanks for the tip Jan, I hadn't even heard of this show.

Never saw it but for sure will DVR it. Go figure a show about knives and they ain't trying to sell them to you...go figure?

You know what? After the girls went to bed I turned on the Discovery channel, as I normally do and just happened to see it.  It is alright. I really liked the the knifemaking bits of it, but since it is a "reality show", they have to spend half the time showcasing the "family dynamic" of the brothers. The oldest brother is a good one for the business, the other one is a flake and therefore the comic relief and then there is the baby brother Tom Begg, the perfectionist, the artist. The scenes with him are the only ones I paid any attention to. Basically you get 12 minutes of knife making knowledge and 12 minutes of Family drama.  But, I am still going to watch it.

Downloading it as I'm typing this. Should be good fun.

I ran across it last night and really enjoyed it. Not really the style of knives that I like but still a fun show to watch. Who knows maybe they will rub off on me.

Yep, Watched it. I feel  that's one of the problems with most of these reality shows Brad. They always have to play up the "drama" and "entertainment" factors. There's quite a few that I watch, but I wish they'd stick more to the subject matter.

And I'm with you lee, not the kind of knives I'm into, but it is about knives, which I thought was interesting.....for them to have a show about knives.

Now, if they did a reality show about the daily activities at Case, Queen, GEC, or........

I just watched it. I don't think his brothers are gonna help make more knives but atleast he gave them a job. I'm not into that style knives either but I haven't seen all of his products. My final opinion is that a knife show has to be good for the knife collecting industry. The show might help stur up more interest in the hobby.
