Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

For the last few days I have been carrying a Colonial USA barlow.  However today I switched back to my Case Mini Blackhorn.  After carrying the Case for a couple of years now, the greater size and weight of the barlow just didn't feel right in my pocket.

Anyway it got me to wondering.  When I was young, at least where I grew up (a very rural area, mostly farmers), a barlow was one of the most common types of knife carried.  Now I don't even remember the last time I saw someone carrying a barlow.

So the question, who carries a barlow?

I carry a Case XX era barlow nearly every day. I also have one on my computer desk.

I used to carry a Barlow for a while about 25 years ago. Haven't since.

I'm with you, Charles.
When I came up, you could always find a display card full of barlows in most every hardware store. They were some of the first knives that I accumulated.

This one started in 1990  Carry it off and on. Especially if I know it is going to be wet outside.

Normally my preferred edc is a trapper because it finds my hand well but for Labor Day it was too large to wear with shorts so I switched to shrade Barlow and it handled all my cutting needs without weighing down pocket, will likely use note often now
Well one of the knives under consideration is the Barlow for the iKC 2014 annual knife.
