The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
I EDC a Case Mini Blackhorn. It handles all my normal cutting chores just fine. However it is just a plain black handled knife. I have decided to buy a new Case knife to put in rotation with the Mini Blackhorn as a "Sunday go to meetin" knife. The deed will be done when I am at SMKW in July. I have some Case knives now that would be good for that purpose but they are special to me and I don't want to use them.
I am thinking the knife should be bone or stag. I would like for everyone to suggest what would be a good knife for this purpose and their reasons.
Thanks in advance for everyone's suggestions.

Everybody's suggestions are appreciated. A stockman and a trapper are on my prospective list. I do want it to be a Case. I have come down with a bad case (terminal I am afraid) of CCF (Case collecting fever). I already have some Case knives that would be good for what I want, but they are special to me for various reasons and I don't want to use them. I hope someday to pass them down to my grandson unused. This knife will be sort of a Sunday-Go-To-Meetin knife so it will be carried and sharpened and used some but will also be considered part of my collection. I do like the idea of a lockback for a using knife. My normal EDC, a Case Mini Blackhorn, is a lockback. A copperlock is definitely on my list. I want it to be a stylish knife so am considering amber bone handles. I seldom do any heavy cutting so I am sure any of the mentioned types would handle my cutting chores just fine. This may be vain but I want it to be a knife that I will be proud to show off to my friends. It may come down to handling them all and just see what feels right to me.

The choices, ya'll are giving to him, go from a three blade knife to a single blade lock back. Charles, what style knife are you looking for and is Case the only brand you are considering?
I don't know about you Charles but I sure appreciated the stockman suggestions! No matter what you decide on one recommendation I would make is for a little dressier moment I would go with the "smallest version" Whether they call it a Mini or a medium whatever the smaller version of the full size is what I would go for. Honestly its much more discreet, fits better, yet still allows you to have a nice knife. My middle son's Father-In-Law, who is a great guy and does collect some knives(hope he joins someday) showed up at the wedding with a really nice, small, Case grey bone stockman. Nice jigging, subdued color but kind of elegant. I really liked the knife but sadly he would not part with it right then!
Max, I understand why ya'll picked what ya'll picked. I just thought, if he could narrow the search a little. Well, if any things game. Might I suggest a Case Sea Horse Whittler, JJ., talked me in to one and I am glad he did. It's a great little knife.
Well Max, what you and I would carry for an EDC, I think might be different than what he wants. I usually carry a 4" Moose or a 4 1/2 Mountain Man style knife for EDC. They may be a little big for a Sunday or special occasion type EDC. Most people don't want such a large knife in their pocket, but I do. I want a knife that's gonna getter done....lol
Howard that is a nice one for sure, nice looks to it also! But that one is priced right! I have a Stag one!
Craig, that is most certainly a Beautiful EDC Sunday knife that would really get some looks!!!!
Robert you are so correct! But sometimes you have to be careful where you pull it outcause some non knife people freak when they're big! LOL!
Max, you are a lucky guy to have a 51225L. Haven't seen a Stag one in quite a while. That Pocket Worn Red Bone is available and I found a Curly Maple and Sky Blue one, but the ones you usually find are the Lime Green ones or the Mason one. Bought a red jigged bone one for a friend's 40th wedding anniversary (Ruby), but he won't use it.

Fantastic, Max!
Wow, those are nice Max. I think they are more the style that he's looking for.
