Sure thing Larry, glad to help. I always start off advising people to know exactly where on the computer you store your pictures. The second thing is if you use an software that will cut down the size of the picture without affecting quality. It loads faster and is every bit as enjoyable.
When you upload a photo to any group or discussion you would go to the same box you would type a question or an answer like right here in this comment box. At the top of the box you'll see a whole bunch of things starting with the word link(which is underlined) the box next to it is image and if you hover over the box with your mouse it will say image. Click that and it will open a box that asks you where on your computer do you keep pictures. Just select the picture you want and double click or open and your picture will start to load. You can add comments once its loaded either above the picture or below.
Now if you want to just load pictures on your "My Page" here is what you do. Find the spot that says My Photos and you should see a small link that says add photos, click that and it will open a loader where you can pick the pictures you would like to load from your computer. Add your photos, create an album or albums and you can add captions to the pictures too. Thanks for asking and if you need more help please let me know.
Thanks for the help guys!!!!!
Hi. So far I've posted a few pics in various groups and discussions. Do you think I should also add the same photos to my home page or is that being repetitive? Thanks for your advice.
SK, absolutely! By adding photos to your "My Page" the photos can be seen by iKC members when they click on Media/Photos up at the very top. You can create albums and organize your pictures too.
It is fun to post them in groups, especially to "show off" a favorite or a new acquisition! But only members of that group can see them.
Currently we do not have pic portability to post a pic in one place and move to the next without having to load twice.

Thanks for the advice Steve. Cheers!
Larry,
Can't wait to see more pictures. Thanks for asking
Steve, I got the hang of posting photos, but don't know how to put captions under them. Also, I made 1 Album, don't know how that happened, but can't seem to separate photos in other different albums. Thanks.

OK, When you first load pictures(on your My Page) the pictures load and you have several option after they load and are displayed:
You can title them, add tags(which I encourage all members to do) you can have the description apply to all the pictures you post(as an example you 5 views of a certain knife and you want the verbiage on all to be the same.) or you might add individual description under each, (something else I recommend, pointing out different details.)(Yes we like detail that much!)
Finally a dro[down box on the right gives you a choice on Albums if you have created more than one. As example you might have fixed blades in one album and folders in another. I think in my case I have only 3 my knives and Holiday pics and one for my events.
Anyway hope that helps. If they are already added you can go in and edit them to add titles and more information. Some of the tools like the apply to all Feature won't be there but you can get it done with simple copy and paste.

Got a different kind of "Pics" question.
Just got a new android based "smartphone". Anyone know a good browser that will let me post pics, to the site.
Tried Chrome and Opera with no luck...(though they do work on my tablet).
JJ,
I use chrome on my samsung galaxy, I just have to load from the gallery
