The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
My Dad was up the factory once again a few weekends ago. These trips to Titusviille have really started to become his substitute for going to the pond to fish.Anyway as I have mentioned before we are slowly going through some of the areas of the factory that haven't been gone through for years. As many of you could except its pretty much like american pickers. I thought everyone would like to see these.
Below are pictures of the original draft designs for a very historical knife the Queen Toothpick Switchblade & Queen Kitchen Cutlery Store Display Design . If you look there are two different switchblade designs that were done different years. I'm just amazed these survived what do you think of them?

That's really interesting to see those drawings that were done by the same person, H.S. Schotten, 3 years apart -- '48 & '51. And talk about kickin' it Old School. That hand drawn illustration of the kitchen implements is beyond cool!
Wow that is cool stuff!! History like that is the best.
Amazing stuff isnt it!
RYAN!!! good to see ya bro!
your in a building of cutlery history...this will only be the start! i collect all kinds of cutlery paper items and that hand drawn colored picture is just awesome!
keep it coming. also im sure MR.Schotten did a lot of their drawings as you find more paper...if you do. as it takes a skilled hand to do what he did.
anyway ryan...keep having fun and maybe some of this stuff will be on display at the QUEEN SHOW! i already saved the pics to drive..
How about making that toothpick again?
Good stuff there.
Well this just proves we are certified knife knuts! I am fascinated by the pictures and the level of detail! These drawing IMHO are priceless and a true part of American Cutlery! Queen Cutlery could not be in better hands.

Important Queen history that I know you and your Dad will preserve it as it should be.
I hope you will share more of this kind as it is uncovered and discovered. Good for you!!
