Hi! I also want to place my pumpkin in this contest! I have done it with 2 american knives: Yojimbo 2 and Case Russlock G10. Also starring a Mini Maglite Solitaire! I was thinking in make a scary pumpkin, but it looks so happy in the market that I cannot make it sad or angry... So, here is my Happy Pumpkin for you friends!

My wife Maggie and I carved our pumpkins on Monday evening during the MNF game. Sad to say we were not able to get the kids over to assist in the fun.

We used a JK Handmade Modified Wharncliffe to cut the tops off, making sure to cut in long/straight lines to make the lid easy to put on, and also making an angled cut to keep it from falling into the pumpkin when it was cut. We also put notches in the rear of the lid and a smaller hole in the back of the pumpkin to allow the candles to breath.

Pumpkin innards are not Maggie's favorite thing lol....

I chose to create a portrait of Mr. JK himself (John Keidaisch of JK Knives ) - I took a picture of John at a recent gathering and then made a pattern from the picture by making the picture grey-scale and then playing with the contrast and brightness until I had an acceptable pattern -

Oooh - spooooky!

Maggie carved a "reporter" pumpkin -

She did a great job!

Thanks for the contest, please do not consider this an entry, since I was fortunate to win a contest very recently and I am just happy to be part of the community an have a chance to play with knives!
