This ulu was missing the original handle and I replaced it with one that I thought looked like it was appropriate for the style and age of the knife.

Being as I replaced the handle with a non original handle, I would have to say this is a refurbish project.

I guess it is one of my personal quirks (or hangups).  I try to be precise in my description of my work.  To my way of thinking there is a definite difference between a repair, a refurbishment, and a restoration.  Those are the big 3, with several other defining the extent of each.

You can call it what you like, Kevin.  I think that the piece of antler fits this ugly perfectly.
