Great post Stephen, I agree with you 100%! I've gotten to know some fine folks on iKC and I'm hooked now - really enjoy it. I'd like to give knife making a try myself. My son is pretty handy at it but he is a bit more mechanically inclined than I am. For now I think I will just enjoy and marvel in the work of others. Oh, and thanks for all of your kind comments on my knife collection!

So true Stephen, this is a great site and in the short time i have been here I have not only met great people but  I have learned a ton about knives.  This site is far better than any of the others I have tried.  Once I found the chat area it has been hard to sign off at night.

I was hooked on this site from the git-go, but health and money problems distracted me. But now that I'm almost completely "bionic", well,  let the discussions begin anew. I either have or have had just about one of every kind of blade so I'll jaw-jack on most any topic, as long as it's about knives and their uses.

And good on you Stephen. Most of us will never be a Jay Fisher or Allen Elishewitz, but man-o-man ain't it fun learning about steel and putting together our own creations??

This is absolutely the best site! Great people, pictures and a lot of knowledge here. Best of all,  a lot of great friends who get along with each other.

We have all been to many knife sites where there is bickering and where no one respects the others opinions.  IKC is great because we are and we act like a community.  We feel and pray when our friends are having issues, we help when someone just needs encourgement or advise on how to get started in this hobby.  We treat each other with respect and welcome all that wish to be here.
