Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Interesting...very interesting- the habits of our members

Want to see a group of individuals- each with their own preferences and habits? Then read my recent blog post here asking our members what they look at first each time they log back into our community.

It is all over the board. Some folks head straight to the Members page to welcome our newest community members; many have bookmarked their own My Page and check it out first, while others hit the community homepage right off the bat.

It is interesting to see the different preferences. One of the questions asked by our members is "How can I make sure I don't miss anything while I was offline?"

As iKC continues to grow- both in quality knife content and members, it is going to be a challenge to stay up on the latest happenings so let's all get on the same page for a minute.

The community homepage features the most recent blog posts, recent activity, new members, most recently commented on forum topics- I realize it is just the most recent activity and not all of the happenings since you logged off, and yet, sort of staying on iKC 24/7, checking the homepage is the best resource for staying updated.

I also highly recommend checking the NEWS on the main menu. It will contain items of interest and happenings I want to make you aware of. There is no way I can anticipate all the items each person is interested in, the NEWS gives us all a common place for Community News, so please check it regularly.

On a side note here, Kyley brought to my attention bringing the "lastest activity" shown down the right column of the homepage into your favorite RSS FEED READER. I set mine up today on my iPhone and on my laptop, so now at a glance I immediately know what is happening even when I'm offline. Great idea, Kyley- keep 'em coming!

So let me encourage all members to check the community homepage and the NEWS each time you return as the best ways to stay up with the latest happenings- you don't want to miss anything- and we don't want you too either.
