Any one an expert in straight razors? Any idea from this 2 pictures what brand this is? Or can you steer me in the right direction to find out? Thanx.

All I see is the round tip, a single shoulder and a plastic -looking black scales. But they appear to be the same width all along the length of the scale, not a tapering kind. Still I don't think it is enough to identify it. Thanx guys.
you are well versed in your knowledge of razors john !
Thank you John, I really appreciate it. If I find more I will let you know. Thanx again.
If there is no makers name on it Robert then there is little chance of finding out who made it . There are an awfull lot of unbranded razors out there , I have one or two myself , they were churned out in large numbers in the late 1800's and early 1900's in both Sheffield and Solingen . I am less sure about the production in the States , If there is no way of finding a maker I wouldn't hold out hope of getting big bucks for it , to be honest even if you knew who made it I doubt there would be much value . The last razor I bought was an unused Ivory scaled razor from a well known maker and cost me around $20. Modern razors from a well known custom maker are exceptions to that rule though.
Probably able to give you a very good shave though when sharpened up !!
