There is so many different types of wood for knife handles now days I was wondering if there is one that's favored more than all the rest. My favorite is Dessert Ironwood but there is alot of others that are so nice.

I actually found it at a local gun and knife show.  A guy was getting rid of a bunch of wood scraps and  had those in the bin.  I asked him about them since they didnt look like leftover bits, and he said they wernt supposed to be in there but since thats where i found them i still got them for the price of 5 bucks for 2 pieces of scrap.  Still waiting on something to use it on.

There's so many nice woods, I love Snake wood also. I think GEC uses it.

Robert,

I have recently seen some diamond wood.  I really like it once the polish is done, the colors are distict and the wood comes to a high polish

Wow Kit, that is great, I have never seen it before but I am really impressed. Thanks for posting. If you know anymore about it, let us know.

Here you go Robert, this is some crosscut black palm, and some on a knife.  Love the way it looks cross cut and the way it polishes up.
