Kent, might be that the ban on guns is the British reason for having that much problems with knives.

On the other hand, guns are banned here as well and we don't experience the same level of problems with stabbings that the British do.

When I was a boy or young man there was no modern type tactical knives to be had. I think had there been I might be more willing to accept them. I notice that some look very useful and well made. The title "Tactical" I think is used for alot of the new style knives whether or not it fits in that category. The people invovled in this movement just haven't come up with a better name. The young boys growing up today all over the free world, I wonder, which one they rather?

Seems that every where has it's challanges on how to keep the good citizens "within limits".  Certainly the criminals in all of our countries are not paying attention to any of the laws

Unfortunately for us honest citizens in Florida, our state considers any knife (other than"an ordinary pocket knife"-whatever that might be?) to be a weapon. This of course makes thousands of law abiding sportsmen into criminals. God forbid you might have a fillet knife laying openly on your fish'n boat. Good thinking, huh?

Of course if you ARE a criminal, none of this applies, at least not for them.

Alexander, I respectfully submit that the reason our British allies have so many knife stabbings is because hand guns are illegal over there.

Since the Auzzie's have banned guns in their country (also our fine allies along with the Kiwi), their crime rate has increased 47% AND their political leaders can't figure why it has gone up? Duh!

Kent, this is the situation we currently see in England. A country that is very high indeed on "knife crimes" (stabbings and such) where the laws are ridicilously restrictive. And we see the same thing here.

Funny thing is that the law itself isn't very restrictive. Policemen just aren't informed as to what the weapons laws are.
