Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

HERES HOPING THAT GIVEAWAY HAS GOTTEN YOUR ATTENTION.

Every year Dennis Hibar offers a special knife for the Christmas contest. This year is no different, but he seems to have many irons in the fire this year that he has asked me to just run a contest for the knife he has chosen.

The blade is 2.875” with a flat grind and made from 1084.  Despite its small size, it’s a stout blade … a hair over .2 inches thick with a distal taper.  Handle is made from some nice-looking Koa and feels great in hand.  Alan Davis also makes his own sheaths.

So how do you win this one you ask?

*****Only membership requirement is that you are a member of months for a minimum of 6 months. Also it is US shipping only

Next you have 2 ways to enter the contest and you may enter each way one time.

#1 Order the 2026 iKC Calendar.  If you have already ordered you are entered.

#2 Come to the contest page and tell us what knife you use the most!

Winner will be announced in the Wed Night Chat on December 10,2025. Good Luck Everyone and once again Thank you Dennis for the generosity and fun

That Alan Davis knife is such a cool looking Brut De Forge -- that handle looks really comfortable!

Currently, the knife I use most is the Victorinox One-Handed Trekker!  I frequently switch out among several main, single-blade EDC's, but that Trekker rides along with all of them (& occasionally replaces them!), mostly because of that incredible, locking cap-lifter/standard screw driver, because it's far better for prying than any knife blade...!

My most used is this Case tiny Muskrat pen knife with Bengal tiger handles. It's been my most frequent EDC for years. It's not the tool for breaking down Amazon boxes, but it makes quick work of lots of routine home and office tasks. Most recently it saw lunchtime duty on a block of Croc extra sharp cheddar.

Argh!!!

Trick question!

We need to figure out which knife we use the most?  During what sort of time frame?

Today, I used my Benchmade Bugout twice, and a Leatherman C33 once already.  I was travelling yesterday, and last week I used a nice damascus bladed, camel bone knife quite a bit last week (along with numerous kitchen knives).  Beyond that, I reach for whichever knife is closest to hand.  My EDCs are typically a mix of a Boker Plus Kalishnakov, Kubey Tityus, Benchmade Bugout, Leatherman C33, Leatherman Charge XTi, or CRKT Squid.

I do hope this  qualifies for method #2.

OK - here goes it....

#1 Order the 2026 iKC Calendar. - Done & Done.

#2 - what knife I use the most? Well, when I am winning the hearts of damsels, slaying dragons, rescuing kitties from trees, and helping the least of these, I'm using my Klein Tools Sportsman folding hunter model 44037.

For all manner of eating steak - whether at home or at the chop house, you'll see me using my CFK Damascus and camel bone steak knife - the Zebra.

Thank you Dennis for sponsoring the annual Christmas Contest again!

I use and carry a Buck 110 everyday.

My goodness, does that 110 look pristine!  I like the Ni-Ag bolsters.  Good looking knife, Paul.

Lars, where are you finding damsels to woo, or dragons hunt down?  Nice lookin' pair of knives there bud.

Just ordered the 2026 calendar....  So method #1 should now be satisfied as well.

  • The knife I use the most…"I carry a Boker Plus OTF USB and a Kershaw Leek!"

Nice one there Eric!
