My son is finishing up a six year tour of duty with the Army, 82nd Airborne, and he's interested in going into firefighting so I'm looking for a working blade to give him as a welcome home gift. I've been checking out Kabars, something he can really depend on. I've got a couple of months to decide. Any suggestions?

first ..the give away is a Kuro and a neck knife.
second.. I am going to add onto my throwing group. I want to pick up a couple more hatchets and a few more throwing knives. Then I will have my eyes open to add to my G E C collection .. Then I really am thinking of picking up a Lion Steel or two. Possibly another Bushcrafting knife or maybe another good beater camp knife. I have been playing around with a new hatchet/axe and have been having good luck almost replacing my camp knife with it. All but filleting. Well.. those are my plans.. Now watch them change by the second week of January !!! LOL

For me im going for a vintage buck 112 hard to find in the uk but iv got a friend in the usa so we are trading simple one for me i no but its a much needed knife im building up my folders next year after so long on fixed blades. Happy new year all.
