Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Yeap, that day has come- the day I'd have to thin out my collection to reallocate funds to pay for three kids in college, and the fourth, a junior in high school who is already taking college classes.

Before you feel sorry for me :) understand, I intentionally parked money (and had a blast doing it!) in my knives so I'd make sure I at least had some to get my kids schooled.

If you know me, you know my passion is OLD Elephant Toenails, or as some call it, a Sunfish knife.

My goal is to thin, so I don't have a list to post here. And because I'm not a dealer, I haven't gone down the collection pricing them, BUT I'm already getting inquiries- word must be getting around- and am taking them one at a time based on what collectors are interested in.

So, if you have ever thought this huge ol' hard-core work knife invented about 1900 intrigued you- man have I got a deal for you :)

Over 200 mostly old ones to choose from. Every brand/make you can think of, from over a dozen sure nuf investment grade WR Case & SON, Case Brothers and WR Case (even stag and pearl handled ones) all the way up to green bone XX (including every variety of TESTED XX toenails). Then jump over to Platts Bros, Clay, Crandall, Henry Sears & Son and on and on. Also have all the dotted series Case toenails.

If you like hardware brands- let's talk. I've got dozens and dozens of them too.

Of course all the famous old brands like New York Knife Co., Napanoch, Honk Falls, Robeson, Union (Cut Co & Razor) etc, etc. Heck I've even got a genuine MSA (Marbles) stag handled toenail.

So, if you're curious, here's how we can proceed. I travel a lot so email is the best way to reach me. I'll try to respond as quickly as I can. Then tell me either the brand/make you like. If there is a particular handle material you prefer, then we can narrow it down that way too. Or if you have a price range you'd like to see what you can get, that's a cool way to help me with your choices.

Like I said, many are investment grade (some even with etches) down to some that are just good examples of this wonderful pattern from days gone-by. And as you can imagine, I've got them from $200 to over $5,000 and still have about a dozen JUMBO SWELLCENTERS left (C. Platts and W R Case) but sold two this week so hurry, plus three really cool Robeson swellcenters (standard sized) too.

If you aren't familiar with this pattern visit my website www.elephanttoenails.com. I don't have any knives listed for sale there though, but tons of toenails to look at, history and stories from Old Timers and their perspective on this wonderful pattern.

Thanks

Scott

Good to see Scott, indeed college a fun time! I looked at the site and I hope folks visit to see the history!

Sad to see them go but I understand why. Kid's have to come first.

You are so right Lee, my last is finally getting out of college and one day I just might be able to buy more knives than I do now!

Hey anyone know what Scotts ebay name is?  I wanted to see what he may have up this week

I believe it is oldelephanttoenailhunter.
