Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

This year iKnifeCollector is able to offer you a J.Mutz Custom.

Thanks to everyone that helped this decision happen.

Confirmed price is $112.00 plus shipping.

Payment is due no later than August 1, 2013

The body and bolsters are milled 416 the blade is 154CPM, with a 1/2 stop.  It is 3 5/8 closed and it is a Stag Cut Red Bone. Because this would be custom we could not order any more than 50 knives and his commitment is that he could deliver in September (maybe sooner but that a lot to get made in a short time).  There will be an iKC certificate with each knife signed by me.

45 of the 50 have been committed so there are only a few available.  Right now we will offer one per member.  For those of you wishing a second I have you on the list if there are still some available

I just had to share with you the warranty info on Jeff's page

It has a complete lifetime warranty on materials and craftsmanship. Any malfunction due to materials or craftsmanship under normal using conditions will be repaired for free. You can ship your product to the address found on this website but please contact us first so we know to watch for your returned item.

The "Catch" - Yes, sorry folks but we have a loophole to our warranty. The "lifetime" in "lifetime warranty" means Jeff's lifetime. Sorry but unfortunately when Jeff takes up residence at Boot Hill there will be no one to repair your product for free. Jeff's son Dylon is going to college and has no interest in continuing Jeff's business. But Jeff hopes to be able to warranty your products for many years to come!

first off with club knives discussing them-their is never a time that is to early!!!

tom..i have sadly seen lots and lots of lists just like that...and for many reasons them not work.... they seem like great ideas.they always seem like they could work.

they end up running forever. maybe this example will show you what i mean. again this is from past experiences and not just my opinion ..i see where they decide on say BONE,but then someone says WHAT KIND..NEW THREAD GOES UP ..then wait what color, then what jig,,,...then all of a sudden they find that they can afford ivory at only 12$ more per knife!!  so now its a new thread on SHOULD WE SWITCH FROM BONE TO IVORY!!??..

do you guys kind of see what i mean...??

im not bashing the idea at all...

im hoping maybe that will shed some light on what i have seen.again thats just my experiences. my personal opinion is they could be a good basic tool. but their are so many factors outside the club as well when working with cllub knives.

all in all i mean no harm and would love to see a thread/poll work for once...it would be great!

MY FINAL THOUGHT-LOL- i  want to say that their is always the option of fixed blades as well. neckers, small pocket fixed blades ,,ectct can be had for affordable prcing and have features that ither club knives would envy!!!

,custom and tooled sheath ,,even tooled IKC.HAMON LINE!!!...filework,filework {I ALREADY HAVE SOMEONE WORKING ON -IKC-IKC-IKC file pattern right now to see if can be done!!

their are many AWESOME makers that are wiling to do so...and we could keep it under 100-125 per knife shipped.. and thats sheath and coa and all!..done!... one i work with offers free sharoening for life if you did use it!!  anyway  i have yet to see ths kind of CLUB  KNIFE and would get my vote on any poll! also we coulod keep it as low as 75$-100$ if needed..and of couse as high$$ as we wanted!!...LOL!

ANYWAY JUST MY 1.5 cents!

I've seen stuff like that happen.

At this point I think we need to figure who rather than what's to be made. We need to figure were its to be made first. Then we can figure what we'd like done.

I'm a lil gun shy!

Max.

How about a Queen or a Schatt & Morgan for 2014?  I dont want to go through this again either and at least the factory is friends LOL

Jan,
Now you're talkin' can't beat either one and we know the quality will be there and gotta love the idea of friends we know gettin the job done for us.
They have my vote hands down for what ever we'd like done.

Great idea Jan!!!

MY LUCA IS ONITS AY!! have wanted it since the build!!!!..

hey i was just thinking of soomething and i know i have been chatting a lot on here as well.

its just a guess but for newcomers and those like me.....LOL. ..im a about moving forward..but shouldnt we go back to keepig this the 2013 knife thread?  updates ectect..

iii know some may say im wishing but i would lik to keep the faith that  the custom works out. you never know what could have happened. also i dont remember but werent their knives already received?...   if so and i didnt read that wrong i am keeping the faith.

if mutz does fall through.. i wouldnt let one bad apple ruin ity when it comes to customs. especially when production knife companies can fall short due to lots of reaosons as well.  right now i ghave no vote for 2014. but their are tons and tons of companies t choose from that im sure are great friends with IKC and wouldnt mind making the $$$!..

now that i ranted more...LOL..shoudlnt we eep this 2013 knife only??..again not my call.,,,but would make sense.

I understand keeping it a 2013 thread IF there was something to talk about but as far as I know we STILL haven't heard anything. Yes I believe you are correct bout some being delivered, five I think back in the end of Sept. And I'm still hoping this all works out because if I didn't I would be wanting my money back before it's worth less than it was in August.

BUT until we hear something I'd rather move forward.
If we do a Queen product, can we revisit the Qtac option?
